January is National Mentoring Month Click here to learn more about National Mentoring Month ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** National Mentoring Month 2010 - Georgia Activities and Events (to have your event listed email gamentor@cisga.org or call Taryn Collinsworth at 478-718-2099) Month Long Opportunities Georgia Mentoring Awards (GMA) Nominations January 1 - 31, 2010 Who: Sponsored by the Georgia Mentoring Partnership What: The Georgia Mentoring Partnership will accept nominations of mentors whose exceptional commitment and dedication have changed the lives of the youth they serve. Stories should include the mentor's name and contact information; the name and contact information of the person making the nomination along with a story exemplifying the mentor's commitment and dedication. Nominations will be reviewed by a panel of national service members who have commited at least a year of their life to serving their community. When: Nominations accepted January 1 - 31, 2010 with winners announced on the Georgia Mentoring Partnership website on March 1, 2010. Award presentations to be made during National Volunteer Week in April 2010. These awards will recognize the endless love and devotion of valient men and virtuous women who mentor at risk youth throughout Georgia with unyielding dedication. Awards will be chosen by a panel and presented at the Camp Gideon Princess Camp Fundraiser. When: Nominations accepted January 1 - 31, 2010. Award presentations on March 21, 2010, 5 P.M. - 9 P.M. Bishop Geoffrey V. Dudley, Sr., D. Min, the keynote speaker and author of Prayer - Answers Guaranteed, is the leader of the St. Louis Metro East CARES Circle, an affiliate of the National CARES Mentoring Movement, He is also the founding pastor of New Life in Christ Interdenominational Church, the fastest growing churches in the Metro East of St. Louis, Missouri.
